Dree Struempler
Paralegal
Bringing a global perspective and an unwavering dedication to excellence, Dree joined our Firm as a Paralegal in 2025. A graduate of Utah State University’s Jon M. Huntsman School of Business, Dree earned a Bachelor’s degree in International Business with Cum Laude honors. Her collegiate experience was marked by distinction on the Dean’s List, recognition through the Involvement and Academic Scholarship Award, and her time as a Women’s Rugby Team player.
Before joining the Firm, Dree refined her legal acumen at Aguirre & Severson, LLP, where she worked alongside a former prosecutor, litigator, and Chief Trial Deputy, as well as a former City Attorney. During her time there, she gained valuable experience in civil law, representing public entities, corporations, and clients in public interest law, among others. Dree’s passion for creating lasting impact extends beyond the office. While interning in Ghana with Mentors International, she mentored small business owners, taught business principles to human trafficking survivors in recovery, and worked with literacy centers to empower communities. Her dedication to fostering self-reliance and community development continues to inspire her approach to work and life.
Dree has always embraced the spirit of adventure and service. Her travels have taken her across the globe, including memorable experiences in Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Mexico, Denmark, Peru, and many parts of the United States. A San Diego Native, Dree stays active playing rugby, volleyball, pickleball, and dodgeball with friends. Outside work, Dree enjoys hiking (often with her adventurous cat, Hagrid), off-roading, snowboarding, and perfecting her sourdough recipes. True to her family’s Clan Ferguson motto, “Dulcius ex asperis, ut prosim aliis”—“Sweeter after difficulties, let me prosper so that I may benefit others”—she was raised with a deep commitment to serving others. This ethos guided her transition into criminal defense, where she is passionate about defending the basic rights of those who make mistakes and ensuring they receive fair outcomes.
